Under 11's Team News

New season

Hi all,

I hope that you have all had a great summer break!

The new season is already upon us and I for one am looking forward to it!

Please could you let me know if your child will be able to play in the Grove Festival on the 3rd October 2010, as we have to pay to enter our team and if we dont have enough numbers, we will have to withdraw!

I would also like to bring to your attention the all new website for Abingdon Rugby club. It now includes the senior side of the club and is also easier to navigate around. You will also notice my new email address This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and my new phone number is 07805840228 - please change my number in your mobiles as you won't be able to get through to me on my old number at weekends. The new website and new email system will be very welcome this season after all the problems we had with email last season.

Training will start one week early than what the website suggests. I would like to start it on the 29th August @10:30 - 12:30, but due to the season not officially starting on that date, the clubhouse may not be open, so please bring refreshments with you. This will give us 5 weeks of training before the Festival, and alow us to cover the new rules/positions that we gain.

Please come along to support the Abingdon 7's Tournament this weekend (22nd August) and get behind our senior team. The day will be great - hopefully see you there!

Last but not least, please can you get your kids to drag their mates along to training on the 29th August, we desperatly need more players as we have 3 more positions (2x second row & full back) to fill this season.

All the best,
Eddy
